Violence against Women – Seminar

Addressing the seminar, Abeela Samreen said that despite the legislation in the country, incidents of violence against women are increasing. Governments make laws, but due to non-implementation of these laws, atrocities on women in the society are not ending.

General Secretary People’s Party Central Punjab Syed Hasan Murtaza emphasized that the government should take effective measures to prevent violence against women and give them relief. Awareness about women’s rights is also needed. The situation regarding women’s rights and security is getting serious, we have to focus on preventive measures to prevent crimes.
